πŸ₯’How to Steam Pork Buns Correctly

  1. Place buns in a steamer, ensuring at least 1" of space between each bun, as they expand.
  2. Set steamer over a pot filled with cold water, ensuring water level is below bottom of steamer.
  3. Cover steamer and turn heat to high. This gradual increase in temperature allows buns to rise gently.
  4. Once water reaches a rolling boil, steam the buns for 20 minutes.
  5. Then, turn heat off and let buns rest in the steamer for an additional 5 minutes to prevent them from shrinking.
  6. Tip: If you don't have a bamboo steamer, you can use a metal steamer or other kinds!
